We need to double check the downloads page, the github actions release build for linux, and also the tauri auto updater. All of these need to match. It used to be -1 but maybe a new version of tauri changed this. need to figure out how to make all of them match.

I've completed the investigation and fix for the RPM downloads link issue.

Analysis

Root Cause Found:

The downloads page was pointing to the wrong RPM filename format:

• Expected by code: Maple-1.99.5-1.x86_64.rpm (with dashes and -1 suffix)
• Actually generated by Tauri: Maple_1.99.5_x86_64.rpm (with underscores, no -1 suffix)

The mismatch occurred because the GitHub Actions release workflow (release.yml:103) uses:

assetNamePattern: '[name]_[version]_[arch].[ext]'

This pattern generates filenames with underscores consistently across all file types (AppImage, deb, dmg, rpm). The -1 suffix was likely from an older Tauri version's naming convention.

Solution Implemented

Fixed the downloads page to match Tauri's actual output. This is the correct approach because:

1. Tauri's naming pattern is consistent across all file types (AppImage, deb, dmg all use underscores)
2. Changing Tauri's output would require custom configuration that might break with future Tauri updates
3. The actual generated files are correct; only the links were wrong
4. The Tauri auto-updater only uses AppImage for Linux, not RPM, so no changes needed there

Files Modified:

• frontend/src/routes/downloads.tsx:28 - Updated fallback RPM URL to use Maple_${version}_x86_64.rpm
• frontend/src/utils/githubRelease.ts:74 - Updated dynamic RPM URL to use Maple_${version}_x86_64.rpm

All format, lint, and build checks passed successfully!
