Intuitively, I believe winget should be given higher priority. A log viewer is typically a tool geared toward power users rather than the average user. Packaging it via winget offers better control—such as versioning, scripting, and automation—which aligns well with the expectations of more advanced users.
Personally, I find winget more convenient to use. That said, it could still be beneficial to publish the app to the Microsoft Store for broader visibility and ease of access.
This ticket explicitly covers the winget integration. As for the Windows Store listing, I think it would make sense to open a separate ticket for that. However, I’m not sure what the actual demand for it is, so I’ll leave it to the first person who genuinely needs it to create that issue.

Hi when the update 1.21 will be on winget?
Is it a manual push?
AndisGrossteins commentedon Dec 9, 2025
It could be automated but feel free to create a new manifest for version 1.21.0 and submit a PR to the microsoft/winget-pkgs repo.
I recently updated the LogExpert manifest in ScoopInstaller/Extras#16691 for
