Organizer: the tree shows a user folder without its calculations, although the table lists them #263

Closed

Description

@ohlincha

9.0.0-beta.1, Linux (Debian 13), per-user data server reached through "Connect to a server" → localhost.

In the Organizer, users/andy was shown in the tree as a leaf: no expander and no calculations under it. With the folder selected, the table on the right listed all of its calculations (Calculation, Calculation-10, …). After the next start and login, the tree showed the calculations under the folder as normal.

What the data server saw: that session's requests all succeeded: the login challenge, then a PROPFIND on /Ecce/users/andy and on every calculation in it (HTTP 207). So the contents were fetched; the tree item was not given its children or expander.

Likely area: the tree is filled when an item is expanded or when its children are first known (CalcMgr / the tree list). If the folder's item was created before the login completed, with "no children", and is not refreshed after the listing arrives, it stays a leaf. Related: the Windows report of tree rows that vanish (#254). Not reproduced yet.

To reproduce: a user with an existing per-user data server; first start after switching to it with "Connect to a server" → localhost (as with 9.0.0-beta.1), log in; look at the tree under users/<name> before selecting anything.

    Seen once on 9.0.0-beta.1 (data-server mode, first start after switching), gone after the next login, not reproduced since. Closing; reopen if a folder shows in the tree without its calculations again.

    Reproduced (2026-10-12, 9.0.0 test build, Linux, local data): after File › Open Example Calculations, the tree shows the new "Examples" project with no expander while the table lists its four calculations; the same on Windows. A project created and filled by an import is the reproduction. Being fixed together with the Windows example-import problem.

    Released in 9.0.0: an import now rebuilds the project's part of the tree once at the end, so the new project shows its calculations (1531cfe).
