Your Question

Question: Are there better editors?

Absolutely, there are several alternatives out there.

While I've dedicated considerable time and effort to this project, recently I've found myself drawn to other projects that I find more fulfilling. If you're looking for alternatives, a quick search reveals a variety of text editors available for Android. Here's a selection:

1. Acode: https://github.com/deadlyjack/Acode

2. Turbo Editor: https://github.com/vmihalachi/turbo-editor

3. Markor: https://github.com/gsantner/markor

4. Editor: https://github.com/billthefarmer/editor

https://alternativeto.net/category/developer-tools/code-editor/?license=opensource&platform=android seems to have a few that may be worth investigating :)

I plan on releasing the changes I've made so far and then archiving the repo. You are more than welcome to fork etc (just be aware it's MIT licensed)
