My projects now live on GitLab → gitlab.com/mr_mik.
Full-stack engineer. University of London graduate. TypeScript, Java, occasionally an unreasonable amount of debugging.
GitHub suspended my account without warning or an explanation email. One moment I was working; the next, pushing my own code had apparently become a premium philosophical question.
Then came weeks of chasing support, disrupted work, and a major career opportunity lost while the account was inaccessible. Eventually, support said its abuse-detection systems had flagged the account, manually reviewed it, and restored access.
They never gave me the underlying reason. I'm not going to invent one for them. Writing their incident report would be a bit much after already doing the customer-support follow-up internship.
So, cheers for restoring access. I've moved the projects somewhere else. “Where the world builds software” is a lovely slogan; being allowed to reach the software is also quite a nice feature.
This profile is the forwarding address. The actual work is on GitLab.
GitHub can keep the green squares. I'll keep access to my code.
