Feature request: PR + merge feature/mcprestart-stopgap to dev #489

Description

@Data-Wise

Request

Open a PR for feature/mcprestart-stopgap → dev and merge once
reviewed. Code is already committed and pushed — this issue tracks the
remaining PR/merge step specifically (kept separate from the full
spec/context in #488 so this one stays a clean, actionable checklist item).

Resume here

Worktree (already exists, don't recreate):

cd ~/.git-worktrees/flow-cli/mcprestart-stopgap

Branch: feature/mcprestart-stopgap (pushed to origin)
Commit: 19cb7a38 — mcprestart/mcprestart-log + .STATUS entry

Checklist

  • gh pr create --base dev --head feature/mcprestart-stopgap
  • Verify full test suite still green (no functional test coverage
added for the new zsh functions yet — consider whether that's
needed before merge, or acceptable for a stopgap this size)
  • Merge, remove worktree + branch per standard cleanup

Cross-link: atlas-side feature request is Data-Wise/atlas#71 (blocked, do not start until fixture-format + priority checks clear).

    Done — closing.

gh pr create --base dev --head feature/mcprestart-stopgap and the merge both happened on 2026-07-07 as PR #496 (feat(mcp): add mcprestart/mcprestart-log stopgap for bridge flicker), merge commit 94d9bde7, confirmed an ancestor of dev. Both functions are live on dev: mcprestart at zsh/functions.zsh:620, mcprestart-log at :638.

Note the commit id in this issue (19cb7a38) no longer resolves — the squash merge rewrote it, which is why the PR's merge commit is the thing to check against dev, not the original sha.

Cleanup is partially outstanding: the worktree is gone, but origin/feature/mcprestart-stopgap still exists (tip b475f854, identical to PR #496's head, so nothing was added after the merge — safe to delete).
