Local Kurtosis simulation support #430

Description

@JasonVranek

Beyond unit tests, it's not straightforward to verify Commit-Boost without running on a long-standing testnet like Hoodi.

The Kurtosis ethereum-package supports private Ethereum testnets with Commit-Boost support but the default configuration uses the ghcr.io/commit-boost/pbs:latest image.

Ideally, we can one-click deploy a local Kurtosis network that runs the local Docker images in question (i.e., just launch-kurtosis). This would have a few benefits.

  • Improves feedback during development.
  • Allows us to quickly test against different client combinations, without going to Hoodi.
  • Can potentially be added as a scheduled git workflow job
  • Help simplify custom Kurtosis setups for module developers.
