Supersedes #471, rebased onto current main (#471 conflicted on package-lock.json and dist/ after v0.12.290 and the viem bump). Only the router-core lock entry moves; dist rebuilt; smoke-dist, typecheck, lint and 1205 tests green locally.

Summary

  • Bumps @blockrun/router-core from e38958b to 27125a3 (router-core 0.2.0, PR #5).
  • 11 newly tool-verified models become availability fallbacks for tool-required turns. Primary model selection is unchanged; outside Premium, the new fallbacks are tried cheapest first.
  • Also picks up router-core 4cca4e0 (catalog sync: GPT-6, Claude 5.5/Fable 5.1, Grok 4.6/4.7).

Validation

  • Node 22.23.2 (CI version): typecheck, lint, format:check, build (+ postbuild smoke)
  • vitest: 1205 passed, 1 skipped
  • dist/ rebuilt because router-core is bundled. The lockfile also loses 19 stale "peer": true flags; npm 10 rewrites these on any install, and no versions change

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Updated a development dependency to a newer revision.

Rebased #471 onto main after v0.12.290 (kit 8.5.0 relock) and viem 2.57.5.
Only the router-core lock entry moves; dist rebuilt. smoke-dist, typecheck,
lint and 1205 tests green.

Keep verified tool models out of primary ranking.

When features.needsTools is true, verifiedToolFallbacks is appended to the same chain as configured and evidence candidates. The combined chain is ranked, and the router selects ranked[0]. src/proxy.ts then places routingDecision.model first in the request chain. Therefore, a verified tool fallback can be sent as the primary model before any availability failure.

Build a separate fallback list and append it only after the primary candidates have been selected, or otherwise prevent these models from participating in primary ranking.

Preserve cheapest-first order for tool fallbacks.

Outside Premium, verifiedToolFallbacks is sorted by estimated cost before it is merged with configured and evidence candidates. The router then ranks the combined candidates by quality, capability, cost, speed, reliability, and legacy position. It does not retain the cost order. The proxy also moves the selected model first and applies outcome-memory and rate-limit reordering before attempts run. Therefore, a more expensive verified fallback can run before a cheaper one. Restoring the existing primary does not fix this separate ordering defect. Preserve the sorted order when constructing the final verified-fallback sequence while retaining the existing primary and availability prioritization.
