The stable badge stays on 1.2.3 until 2.0.0 ships; the prerelease badge shows 2.0.0-preview.1 beside it.

nuget/vbadge reports the latest stable version, so it stays on 1.2.3 until 2.0.0 ships and then updates itself. A second badge onnuget/vpre, labelled "preview", shows 2.0.0-preview.1 beside it during the preview period. Checked both endpoints: v1.2.3 and v2.0.0-preview.1.
