Problem Statement
Currently body weight exercises do not impact total volume calculated for each routine performed.
Proposed Solution
Calculate volume for body weight exercises.
Set body weight in settings (or prompt in exercise)
Prompt for reps performed after a timed exercise. Prompt/Store variable in settings/picklist of various decline heights.
Calculate volume based on body weight, reps and necessary modifiers.
Push-ups are typically calculated at 64% of your body weight, multiplied by the number of reps
For Decline push-ups the percent varies based on the decline.
At 4.5 inches (height of Vitruvian) it should be 65% of body weight.
At 11 inches (height of Pro bench) it should be 70% of body weight
At 16 inches (my bench :) ) it should be 72% of body weight
at 24 inches it should be 74% of body weight.
Pull-ups should be calculated at slightly less than body weight to account for the weight of your forearms and hands which stay below the bar and not being lifted. Option to add weight for weighted pull-ups, or belted pull-ups attached to Vitruvian :)
Alternatives Considered
This is a huge ask, but I think it would far exceed the original app for body weight exercises and tracking volume and progression.
How important is this to you?
Nice to have
Additional Context
Possible stretch goal, inclusion of muscle groups (and percentages) for even more detailed volume statistics
Muscle Group Standard Push-Up Decline Push-Up (11"–16")
Pectorals (Chest) ~50% (Mainly Mid/Lower) ~40% (High focus on Upper Chest)
Anterior Deltoid (Shoulder) ~20% ~35%
Triceps ~20% ~15%
Core / Serratus ~10% ~10%
