Problem Statement

Estimated times for each routine seem to be off, as it seems to take 2-3 times more than what the program says. This can obviously vary a lot if routines use AMRAP, because there is no way for the app to guess how many reps will be completed and how long it will take.

Proposed Solution

One suggestion would be for it to estimate the time based upon how long it took to complete on a previous time you have gone through the routine.

What Changed

The estimated time shown for routines is now based on your actual workout history. Instead of a generic fixed estimate, the app calculates how long each exercise typically takes you — including rest periods, superset pacing, warmup sets, and AMRAP extra time.

How to Access

• Open the Routines tab — each routine card displays an updated time estimate
• The estimate automatically improves as you complete more workouts with that routine
• New routines with no history fall back to sensible defaults

How It Works

• Per-exercise timing based on your average set duration for that exercise
• Warmup sets estimated at 70% of working set time
• AMRAP sets estimated at 150% of normal set time (they take longer)
• Superset-aware: exercises in supersets share rest periods (shorter total time)
• Transition time between exercises included
• Falls back to defaults when no history exists for an exercise

Technical Details

• RoutineTimeEstimator service with profile-scoped history queries
• Registered in Koin DI, wired to routine list UI
• 18 unit tests covering all estimation scenarios
