i ditched windows for linux because of the freedom it gives — the freedom to actually understand what my machine is doing, customize it until it fits how i think, and build a workflow that's genuinely mine instead of one handed to me.
i'm not a coder and i don't hold a CS degree. most of what i build starts from reading other people's setups, understanding why they made the choices they did, and modifying it until it fits me. that's the whole hobby, really.
i believe in minimal but productive — every setup i put together is built around that principle. nothing on my desktop exists just to look busy.
i run debian for its stability. that stability is what let me stay calm while learning linux instead of feeling overwhelmed by it — a system that doesn't randomly break gave me room to actually experiment. everything i share is centered around debian specifically, cause i want it to be useful for other debian users who are just starting out the way i did.
a minimal, japanese-themed niri + pill/dynamic-island bar — early days, more to come.
