Double-click Mute and Solo buttons to isolate and restore tracks
#782
Double-click Mute and Solo buttons to toggle other tracks
I'm using StemDeck on Linux, and I find the application gorgeous and wonderful to work with. Thank you so much for creating such a great application!
I'd like to suggest a usability improvement for the Mute (M) and Solo (S) buttons in the mixer.
Proposed behavior
1. Double-click Solo (S)
Keep Solo enabled on the selected track.
Automatically disable Solo on all other tracks where it is currently enabled.
If I double-click the same Solo button again, restore the previous Solo states of the other tracks.
2. Double-click Mute (M) (same behavior as Solo)
Keep Mute enabled on the selected track.
Automatically disable Mute on all other tracks where it is currently enabled.
If I double-click the same Mute button again, restore the previous Mute states of the other tracks.
A single click would continue to work exactly as it does now. The new behavior would only be triggered by a double-click.
When working with multiple stems, I often want to isolate a single track quickly. Instead of manually changing the state of several tracks, I could double-click the desired button to isolate it, then double-click it again to return to my previous mix.
This would provide a quick, reversible way to focus on a particular vocal, drum, bass, or instrument track without losing the previous mixer configuration.
Thank you again for this beautiful application, and for considering this suggestion!

The screenshot below highlights the Mute (M) and Solo (S) buttons where this behavior could be implemented.
