Hi everyone,

I am a high school student from a Delhi Government School (Govt. Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Nangloi under Directorate of Education / edudel.nic.in).

In Delhi government schools, students are not issued individual academic email addresses (.edu or school-domain emails). We only receive an official physical Bonafide Certificate stamped and signed by the school principal for proof of enrollment.

I wanted to ask other students from similar Delhi Govt schools or CBSE high schools: Has your Bonafide Certificate alone been accepted for the GitHub Student Developer Pack during manual review? How long did it take?

I think your Bonafide Certificate is the right document to submit since many government schools don't issue student email addresses. As long as it's recent and clearly includes your name, school, and the principal's signature and stamp, it should help with manual verification. Hopefully someone who has been through the same process can share their experience with the review timeline.

I don't think you're the only one facing this. Many government schools don't provide .edu or school-domain email addresses. A Bonafide Certificate is generally the strongest proof of enrollment of the student in that case. Hopefully someone from a Delhi Government School can share their experience with the approval timeline.

Thanks a lot for confirming! Yes, my Bonafide Certificate has the school letterhead, my name, ID, class, father's name, along with the official principal/teacher stamp and signature. It was freshly issued on 18/07/2026, so hopefully, the manual review team accepts it smoothly. Really appreciate your help!
