Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hi GitHub Education Team,
I am a student at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) in Bangladesh.
I have applied for the GitHub Student Developer Pack several times, but my application keeps getting rejected.
My issue is that GitHub requires me to use my device camera to submit my student ID. However, when the verification page opens on my phone, it only uses the front (selfie) camera. There is no option to switch to the rear camera.
Because of this, I cannot take a clear photo of both sides of my physical student ID card.
I have a valid student ID card with issue and expiry dates, and I also have access to my official university student portal showing my enrollment and student information.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there another supported way to verify my student status or a way to use the rear camera for document capture?
Thank you.
